Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started

How do I create an account?

Choose Sign up and create your account with your email address or with Google. Then add your basics (gender, date of birth, height, city, languages) and at least one photo. Your dashboard shows the remaining steps: About you, Your ideal partner and your Love profile (a short guided interview about your values and personality).

How long does it take?

Most people need 10 to 15 minutes in total. You don't have to do everything at once: your dashboard shows what is left to complete.

Is Ultimates free?

Yes. There are no paid plans today.

Matching

How does the matching work?

We compare complete profiles. Most of the score comes from your questionnaire answers: values, personality, communication style and life goals. Your deal-breakers (such as age range, distance or wanting children) filter out people who don't fit, and an automated assessment of profile photos is also one of the criteria (details in our Privacy Policy).

How many matches will I get?

We focus on a few highly compatible people rather than an endless list. How many you get depends on how many people near you are compatible with you and pass your deal-breakers.

When will I get my first match?

As soon as we find someone highly compatible with you. We only introduce people who pass each other's deal-breakers, so it can take some time. We will email you as soon as a match arrives: there is nothing else to do in the meantime.

What does the compatibility score mean?

It estimates, as a percentage, how well two profiles fit based on your answers and preferences. It is an estimate to help you choose who to talk to, not a guarantee.

How can I improve my matches?

Complete every step of your profile, answer the questionnaire honestly and keep your partner preferences up to date. The more we know, the better your first match will be.

Privacy & your account

Is my personal information safe?

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords in hashed form and limit access to member data to authorised administrators. We work with a few service providers (hosting, email, photo storage, AI) listed in our Privacy Policy. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who can see my profile?

Only the people you are matched with: your profile is never shown in a public list. Our authorised administrators can also access profiles to run the service and check the quality of the matching. Your email address is never shown to other members.

Why do you ask for consent about sensitive data?

Who you want to meet reveals your sexual orientation, and you may choose to share your religion. Both are sensitive data, so we only use them with your explicit consent, and only for matching. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings; your profile is then no longer included in matchmaking.

How do I stop emails?

Turn off notifications in Settings → Notifications, or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any notification email.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete account and confirm. Your account and profile, including your photos and questionnaire answers, are deleted. This cannot be undone. If anything goes wrong, email support@ultimates.app.

Safety & reporting

What should I do if someone behaves inappropriately?

Open your conversation with them, open the menu at the top of the conversation and choose Report user, then tell us what happened. Your report and the recent messages of the conversation are sent to our team for review. Reporting someone also blocks them for you: they won't be suggested to you again. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services first (112 in the EU).

Can I block someone without reporting them?

Not yet: blocking happens when you report someone. You can also delete a conversation from the same menu. If you blocked someone by mistake, email support@ultimates.app.

Are profiles verified?

Not yet. We don't verify identities, photos or phone numbers today, so stay careful: take your time, never send money to someone you haven't met, and report anything suspicious.

What are some safety tips for online dating?

Don't share personal information too quickly, meet in public places for first dates, tell a friend where you are going, and trust your instincts. More tips on our Trust & Safety page.

Still need help?

Can't find your answer? Email support@ultimates.app. We read every message and reply as soon as we can.

For an urgent safety issue, put "URGENT" in the subject line. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services first.
