Trust & Safety

How we protect our community, what we don't do yet, and how you can stay safe.

Our commitment

Respect first

We want Ultimates to be a respectful place for meaningful connections. Harassment, abuse, hate and scams are not tolerated: accounts that break these rules may be removed.

Community guidelines

  • Be respectful and kind to everyone
  • Use real photos and honest information
  • No harassment, abuse or inappropriate content
  • Report suspicious or harmful behaviour

What we check today

  • Every account is tied to an email address or a Google account
  • Members must be 18 or over
  • Any member can report someone from a conversation
  • Every report is sent to our team for review

We don't verify identities, photos or phone numbers yet, so stay careful and report anything that feels wrong.

Safety tips for online dating

Before meeting someone

  • Take your time getting to know them through the app
  • Consider a video call before meeting in person
  • Trust your instincts: if something feels off, it probably is
  • Don't share personal information (address, workplace, finances) too quickly
  • Never send money to someone you haven't met

First meeting

  • Always meet in a public place
  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going
  • Arrange your own transportation
  • Stay sober and alert
  • Keep your phone charged and with you

Red flags

  • Asking for money or financial help
  • Pressuring you to meet immediately or to move off the app
  • Inconsistent stories or information
  • Refusing to video call or to meet in a public place
  • Excessive flattery or love bombing

Reporting & blocking

How to report

  1. Open your conversation with the person
  2. Open the menu at the top of the conversation
  3. Choose "Report user"
  4. Tell us what happened
  5. Submit your report

Your report and the recent messages of the conversation are sent to our team for review.

Blocking

Reporting someone also blocks them for you: they won't be suggested to you again. A separate block button and unblocking are not available yet: email safety@ultimates.app if you need help. You can also delete a conversation from the same menu.
